Titanium Birch was founded by Peter Burchhardt, an entrepreneur passionate about building teams that create products customers love. One of those ventures was ExpressVPN, which he co-founded, bootstrapped, and scaled into a global leader in consumer digital privacy—without ever raising external capital.​

At the time of its $936 million acquisition in 2021, ExpressVPN served over 3 million users across more than 180 countries, generated more than USD $300 million in annual revenue, and was consistently ranked the number-one VPN by top tech reviewers, including TechRadar and Tom’s Guide. It was widely recognised for its speed, reliability, strong security practices, and customer trust. Peter completed his transition to the new owners in 2023, closing that chapter to focus fully on Titanium Birch.

While the firm began with Peter’s capital, it’s intentionally designed to be more than a founder-led platform. We’re assembling a team and shaping a culture with its own point of view—one that will grow, evolve, and stand on its own.
